EXECUTIVE ORDER No. 132

DECLARING AND DELINEATING THE ILIGAN PORT ZONE AND PLACING IT UNDER THE ADMINISTRATIVE JURISDICTION OF THE PHILIPPINE PORTS AUTHORITY (PPA)

WHEREAS, the Port of Iligan in Iligan City, Lanao del Norte is one of the major and busiest ports in the country; and

WHEREAS, there is a need to define the Port Zone of Iligan for the planning and development of the necessary port facilities thereat to support the demands of the shipping trade within the region.

NOW, THEREFORE, I, BENIGNO S. AQUINO III, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby order:

SECTION 1. Port of Iligan. The territorial jurisdiction of the Port of Iligan situated in Barangay Poblacion, Iligan City, Province of Lanao del Norte, is hereby delineated and established, particularly described as follows:

Summary of Executive Order No. 132

Delineation of Iligan Port Zone
- The territorial jurisdiction of the Port of Iligan in Barangay Poblacion, Iligan City, Lanao del Norte is delineated and established with specific boundaries and coordinates. (Section 1)
- The total area of the Iligan Port Zone is 947,218 square meters. (Section 1)

Administrative Jurisdiction of Philippine Ports Authority (PPA)
- The Iligan Port Zone is placed under the administrative jurisdiction of the PPA. (Section 2)
- The PPA shall implement a program for the proper zoning, planning, development, and utilization of the port, consistent with the regional industrial plans of the government. (Section 2)

Repeal and Separability Clauses
- All issuances, orders, rules, and regulations inconsistent with this Executive Order are repealed, amended, or modified accordingly. (Section 3)
- If any provision of this Executive Order is declared invalid or unconstitutional, the other provisions not affected shall remain valid and subsisting. (Section 4)

Effectivity
- This Executive Order shall take effect immediately upon publication in a newspaper of general circulation. (Section 5)
