PROCLAMATION No. 1246

DECLARING SATURDAY, 23 APRIL 2016, AS A SPECIAL (NON-WORKING) DAY IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF PLARIDEL, PROVINCE OF BULACAN

WHEREAS, on Saturday, 23 April 2016, the Municipality of Plaridel, Bulacan marks the celebration of the "Battle of Quingua";

WHEREAS, the Battle of Quingua, wherein the Filipino forces were under the command of General Gregorio del Pilar, was one of the most significant victories of the Filipinos in the war; and

WHEREAS, it is but fitting and proper that the people of the Municipality of Plaridel, Bulacan be given full opportunity to celebrate and participate in the occasion with appropriate ceremonies.

NOW, THEREFORE, I, PAQUITO N. OCHOA, JR., Executive Secretary, by authority of His Excellency, BENIGNO S. AQUINO III, do hereby declare Saturday, 23 April 2016, as a special (non-working) day in the Municipality of Plaridel, Bulacan.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
