Declaring the Period From April 18 to 24 of Every Year As Water Conservation Week

MALACAÑANGRESIDENCE OF THE PRESIDENTOF THE PHILIPPINESManila Proclamation No. 143 DECLARING THE PERIOD FROM APRIL 18 TO 24 OF EVERY YEAR AS WATER CONSERVATION WEEK In order to apprise the public of the danger arising from the indiscriminate use and wastage of water during summer, I, Ramon Magsaysay, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare the period from April 18 to 24 of every year as Water Conservation Week. I authorize the General Manager of the Metropolitan Water District to take appropriate measures to carry out the objective of this proclamation. IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed. Done in the City of Manila, this 13th day of April, in the year of Our Lord, nineteen hundred and fifty-five, and of the Independence of the Philippines, the ninth.
