MALACAÑANGRESIDENCE OF THE PRESIDENTOF THE PHILIPPINESManila Proclamation No. 96 DECLARING THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 25, 1954, AS A SPECIAL PUBLIC HOLIDAY FOR NATIONAL THANKSGIVING WHEREAS, it is fitting that a day be set aside on which to dedicate our noblest thoughts in prayer and thanksgiving to Almighty God for the blessings He has bestowed upon us; NOW, THEREFORE, I, Ramon Magsaysay, President of the Philippines, do hereby declare Thursday, November 25, 1954, as a special public holiday far national thanksgiving. I call upon all the people to turn their thoughts and actions on that day towards Almighty God and offer Him a prayer of thanks for all the blessings He has showered upon us.
