Summary of Executive Order No. 74-ACoverage of Year-End Bonus
- Officials and employees of the National Government and government-owned or controlled corporations who have rendered less than four months of service from January 1, 1986 to October 31, 1986 shall be entitled to a prorated cash gift based on their length of service. (Section 1)
- Less than one month: P100.00
- 1 month but less than 2 months: P200.00
- 2 months but less than 3 months: P300.00
- 3 months but less than 4 months: P400.00
- Officials and employees of local government units who have rendered the same length of service shall likewise be entitled to the prorated cash gift, subject to the availability of local funds. (Section 2)
- The Ministry of Budget and Management shall issue the implementing rules and regulations. (Section 3)
- The Executive Order shall take effect immediately. (Section 4)

EXECUTIVE ORDER NO. 74-A December 19, 1986
EXPANDING THE COVERAGE OF THE YEAR-END BONUS
WHEREAS, it is the desire of the Government to spread the joys of Christmas to as many of its employees as possible within the constraints of the limited financial resources of the government;
NOW, THEREFORE, I, CORAZON C. AQUINO, President of the Republic of the Philippines, do hereby direct.
Sec. 1. Officials and employees of the National Government and government-owned or controlled corporations who have rendered less than four months of service from January 1, 1986 to October 31, 1986 shall be entitled solely to the following cash gift:

2 months but less than 3 months
300.00
1 month but less than 2 months
200.00

100.00
Sec. 2. Officials and employees of local government units who have rendered the length of service provided for in the preceding section shall likewise be entitled to the prorated cash gift enumerated above, subject to the availability of locals...
