Case Overview and Summary

Summary of Executive Order No. 446

Extension of the Presidential Commission on Reorganization
- The term of the Presidential Commission on Reorganization, created under Executive Order No. 281, is extended up to June 30, 1975.
- This extension is necessary due to the following reasons:
    - Additional major changes have been adopted in the Integrated Reorganization Plan.
    - Further amendments to the Integrated Reorganization Plan are necessary to keep the government structure attuned to the needs of accelerated national development.
    - Continued staff work is needed in the assessment and implementation of organizational changes.
    - The installation of the Integrated Reorganization Plan, as finally amended, remains to be completed, especially in certain major areas of government administration, which requires continued staff support.

Staffing and Funding
- The Executive Secretary shall issue the necessary directives for the detail or the extension of the detail of such technical personnel as may be needed by the Commission, under the same conditions as prescribed in Executive Order No. 281, as amended.
- The Commission is authorized to disburse and defray all expenses for its operation from January 1, 1975 to June 30, 1975, from funds as may be available from the Office of the President.
