Case Overview and Summary

Summary of Proclamation No. 330

Fixing Census Day

- It fixes Sunday, January 1, 1939, as Census Day instead of November 15, 1938.
- The reason for the change is to allow adequate time for:
    - Verifying qualifications of applicants for census supervisors and enumerators.
    - Appointing only the best qualified persons as census supervisors and enumerators.
    - Providing ample time for training of census supervisors and enumerators.
- The legal basis for this Proclamation is Commonwealth Act No. 170.
