PRESIDENTIAL DECREE No. 839 December 11, 1975
PLACING THE PROFESSIONAL REGULATION COMMISSION UNDER THE ADMINISTRATIVE SUPERVISION OF THE CIVIL SERVICE COMMISSION
WHEREAS, it is desirable to rid the Presidency of the supervision of extraneous agencies in order to allow the President to concentrate on policy formulation and executive decision-making; and
WHEREAS, it would be well to secure an effective linkage between the regulation of professions and the Civil Service Commission.
NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by the Constitution, do hereby order and decree that the Professional Regulation Commission be transferred from the Office of the President and placed under the administrative supervision of the Civil Service Commission.
This Decree shall take effect immediately.
Done in the City of Manila, this 11th day of December, in the year of Our Lord, nineteen hundred and seventy-five.
