• The last day for filing certificates of candidacy for sectoral representatives to the interim Batasang Pambansa is postponed to March 7, 1978. (Section 1)
- Rules on Multiple Candidacies
• A person who filed a certificate of candidacy for regional representative cannot file another certificate for sectoral representative. (Section 2)
• However, a person can withdraw their certificate of candidacy for regional representative to enable them to file for sectoral representative within the provided period. (Section 2)
• If a person filed certificates of candidacy for both regional and sectoral representatives before the effectivity of this decree, they must submit a sworn statement to the Commission before March 7, 1978, indicating which certificate they want to continue and canceling the other. Failure to do so will render both certificates null and void. (Section 2)
- Withdrawal or Cancellation of Certificate of Candidacy
• A certificate of candidacy is considered withdrawn or canceled only if the candidate files a sworn statement of withdrawal or cancellation with the official who received the certificate or with the Commission. (Section 3)
- Effectivity
• This decree takes effect immediately. (Section 4)

PRESIDENTIAL DECREE No. 1301 February 14, 1978
POSTPONING THE DATE FOR FILING CERTIFICATE OF CANDIDACY FOR SECTORAL REPRESENTATIVES TO THE INTERIM BATASANG PAMBANSA AND PRESCRIBING RULES TO GOVERN MULTIPLE CANDIDACIES
WHEREAS, the election for regional representatives to the interim Batasang Pambansa shall be on April 7 while the election for the sectoral representatives shall be held within twenty days after the said date;
WHEREAS, some sectors concerned have made representations for the postponement of the last day for the filing of certificates of candidacy for sectoral candidates;
WHEREAS, in view of the time lag between the election of regional and sectoral representatives, the deadline for the filing of certificates of candidacy of the sectoral candidates may be postponed without jeopardizing the orderly process of the election;
WHEREAS, in the matter of multiple filing of certificates of candidacy, there is need to clarify whether a person who has filed a certificate of candidacy for regional representative may also be entitled to file a certificate of candidacy for sectoral representative; and...
