Reorganization of Administrative Region VI- Region VI is reorganized to include the Province of Palawan and Puerto Princesa City. (Section 1)
- The Department of the Interior and Local Government is directed to supervise the transfer of the Province of Palawan and Puerto Princesa City from Region IV to Region VI. (Section 2)
- All issuances, orders, rules, regulations, and issuances, or parts thereof, which are inconsistent with this Executive Order, are hereby repealed or modified accordingly. (Section 3)
- This Executive Order shall take effect immediately following the completion of its publication in a newspaper of general circulation. (Section 4)

EXECUTIVE ORDER No. 429             May 23, 2005
PROVIDING FOR THE REORGANIZATION OF ADMINISTRATIVE REGION VI TO INCLUDE THE PROVINCE OF PALAWAN AND PUERTO PRINCESA CITY
WHEREAS, the 1987 Constitution states that the President shall exercise general supervision over local governments;
WHEREAS, there is an urgent need to reorganize administrative Region VI to include the Province of Palawan and Puerto Princesa City to guarantee the effective delivery of field and public services of government agencies and accelerate social and economic development in the same;
NOW, THEREFORE, I GLORIA MACAPAGAL-ARROYO, President of the Republic of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby order:
Section 1. Region VI is hereby reorganized to include the Province of Palawan and Puerto Princesa City;
Section 2. The Department of the Interior and Local Government is hereby directed to supervise the transfer of the Province of Palawan and Puerto Princesa City from Region IV to Region VI;
