Proclamation No. 514

PUBLISHING THE REGULATION PROMULGATED BY THE SECRETARY OF STATE OF THE UNITED STATES ON JANUARY 16, 1940, RELATING TO TRAVEL ON BELLIGERENT VESSELS.

Whereas the Secretary of State of the United States did, on January 16, 1940, promulgate the following regulation:

"Regulations relating to travel on belligerent vessel

"Pursuant to the authority contained in the Presidents Proclamation No. 2374 of November 4, 1939, issued pursuant to section 1 of the Neutrality Act of 1939, I, Cordell Hull, Secretary of State of the United States, hereby prescribe the following regulation, amending the regulations issued on November 6, 1939, as amended by regulations issued on November 17, 1939 and December 14, 1939, relating to travel on belligerent vessels:

"American nationals may travel on belligerent vessels in the Bay of Fundy and its dependent waters.
