Requiring the Display of the Philippine Flag At Half-Mast on the Thirtieth Day of November of Every Year

MALACAÑANGManila BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE PHILIPPINES Proclamation No. 159 REQUIRING THE DISPLAY OF THE PHILIPPINE FLAG AT HALF-MAST ON THE THIRTIETH DAY OF NOVEMBER OF EVERY YEAR. WHEREAS, the thirtieth day of November of every year is National Heroes’ Day; and WHEREAS, in fitting memory of our national heroes, it is necessary that the day be solemnly observed to the end that their glorious sacrifices for the nation may be better appreciated; NOW, THEREFORE, I Elpidio Quirino, President of the Philippines, do hereby require that the Philippine Flag be displayed at half-mast on all government buildings and installations on the thirtieth day of November of every year.
