SETTING ASIDE SEPTEMBER 30, 1938, AS A DAY FOR THE INAUGURATION OF THE CITY OF BACOLOD, AND DECLARING IT A SPECIAL PUBLIC HOLIDAY FOR THE PROVINCE OF NEGROS OCCIDENTAL.
By virtue of the powers conferred upon me by law, I,Manuel L. Quezon, President of the Philippines, do hereby set aside September thirtieth, nineteen hundred and thirty-eight, for the inauguration of the City of Bacolod, created by Commonwealth Act Numbered Three hundred and twenty-six, as amended by Commonwealth Act Numbered Four hundred and four.
In order to provide full opportunity for the people of Negros Occidental to participate in the celebration of the inauguration of the said city, so that the day may be fittingly observed, September thirtieth, nineteen hundred and thirty-eight, is hereby declared a special public holiday for the Province of Negros Occidental.
In witness whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Commonwealth of the Philippines to be affixed.

Proclamation Setting Aside September 30, 1938 for the Inauguration of Bacolod City
- By virtue of the powers conferred upon the President by law, President Manuel L. Quezon set aside September 30, 1938 for the inauguration of the City of Bacolod, created by Commonwealth Act No. 326, as amended by Commonwealth Act No. 404.
- September 30, 1938 was declared a special public holiday for the Province of Negros Occidental to provide full opportunity for the people to participate in the celebration of the inauguration of Bacolod City.
