SUBSUMING THE PRESIDENTIAL ADVISORY COUNCIL ON PUBLIC WORKS AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT TO THE PRESIDENTIAL ECONOMIC STAFF

- The Presidential Advisory Council on Public Works and Community Development (PACPW) is subsumed and becomes subordinate to and absorbed by the Presidential Economic Staff. (Section 1)
- The PACPW, together with its personnel, records, properties, and equipment, shall be turned over to the Presidential Economic Staff (PES). (Section 2)
- The PACPW shall operate within the Regional Development Monitoring and Planning System of the PES. (Section 3)
- All executive orders, administrative orders, and rules and regulations inconsistent with this order are hereby amended and/or revoked accordingly. (Section 4)

EXECUTIVE ORDER NO. 403 September 22, 1972 SUBSUMING THE PRESIDENTIAL ADVISORY COUNCIL ON PUBLIC WORKS AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT TO THE PRESIDENTIAL ECONOMIC STAFF WHEREAS, the Presidential Economic Staff has been vigorously pursuing regional planning and monitoring and integrated development planning; WHEREAS, the Presidential Advisory Council on Public Works and Community Development (PACPW ) has been undertaking functions which properly belong to the Presidential Economic Staff per Executive Order No. 357 of 10 December 1971; WHEREAS, there is need to effect efficient and economic operation of government entities in line with the current policy of fiscal restraint and maximum output. NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby direct that the Presidential Advisory Council on Public Works and Community Development subsume and become subordinate to and absorbed by the Presidential Economic Staff.
