Transferring The Seat Of Government Of The Province Of Maguindanao From The Municipality Of Maganoy To The Municipality Of Sultan Kudarat

MALACAÑANGM a n i l a PRESIDENTIAL DECREE No. 1170 TRANSFERRING THE SEAT OF GOVERNMENT OF THE PROVINCE OF MAGUINDANAO FROM THE MUNICIPALITY OF MAGANOY TO THE MUNICIPALITY OF SULTAN KUDARAT WHEREAS, the present set of the provincial government of Maguindanao is not very accessible to the residents of the different municipalities therein; WHEREAS, the proposed seat of government at Sultan Kudarat is more accessible, being centrally located within the province; WHEREAS, the municipality of Sultan Kudarat has more facilities to offer, being near the Polloc Port and situated at the crossroads of national highways leading to Davao City, the two Lanaos and South Cotabato; WHEREAS, the people of Sultan Kudarat, their civic leaders and the different municipal mayors have expressed their desire that the transfer of the seat of government be made for the above reasons; NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND E.
