Upgrading of Siargao District Hospital
- The Siargao District Hospital in Dapa, Surigao del Norte is upgraded to a Level II General Hospital to be known as the Siargao Island Medical Center (SIMC). (Section 1)
- The SIMC will be under the direct supervision and control of the Department of Health (DOH). (Section 1)

Increase in Bed Capacity
- The authorized bed capacity of the SIMC is increased from 50 to 100 beds. (Section 1)
- Any future increase in bed capacity shall be consistent with the hospital development plan prepared by the SIMC Chief and submitted to the DOH. (Section 1)

Upgrade of Professional Health Care Services and Facilities
- The existing professional health care services and facilities of the SIMC shall be upgraded to conform with and be commensurate to the increase in bed capacity. (Section 2)
- The upgrade shall be consistent with the hospital development plan. (Section 2)

Increase in Medical Personnel
- The existing workforce of the SIMC, including doctors, nurses, and support personnel, shall be correspondingly increased to conform with the bed capacity increase. (Section 3)
- The DOH, in coordination with the DBM and CSC, and in consultation with the SIMC management, shall determine the additional plantilla positions to be created and filled up. (Section 3)

Funding and Implementation
- The DOH Secretary shall immediately include the implementation of this Act in the Department's programs, and the funding shall be included in the annual General Appropriations Act. (Section 4)
- Within 90 days from the effectivity of this Act, the DOH shall promulgate the implementing rules and regulations (IRR), upon consultation with the Provincial Government of Surigao del Norte and other stakeholders. (Section 5)
- The IRR shall be implemented consistent with the hospital development plan. (Section 5)

Separability Clause and Repealing Clause
- If any provision of this Act is declared invalid or inoperable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect. (Section 6)
- All laws, executive orders, issuances, rules and regulations inconsistent with this Act are hereby repealed or modified accordingly. (Section 7)

Effectivity
- This Act shall take effect 15 days after its publication in the Official Gazette or in a newspaper of general circulation. (Section 8)
