Legislative Power

In simpler terms, the legislature has the broad and extensive power to regulate all matters which in its discretion are for the common good of the people — including the maintenance of peace and order and protection of life and liberty — which the Constitution deems indispensable for the enjoyment by all the people of the blessing of democracy.
