This refers to your letter dated September 22, 2006 requesting for a Certificate of Tax Exemption under the provisions of Republic Act (R.A.) No. 6938, otherwise known as the "Cooperative Code of the Philippines".
Documents submitted disclosed that Candon Motorworks Multi-Purpose Cooperative, with Taxpayer's Identification No. 006-072-603, is a multi-purpose cooperative transacting business with members and non members; that it is registered with the Cooperative Development Authority with Registration No. DAG-4487 dated April 9, 2002; that a Certificate of Good Standing No. CGS No. 09-2006-263 has been issued in its favor by Mr. Ernesto Z. Rosario, CESO V, Regional Director, Cooperative Development Authority, Dagupan Extension Office; that the objectives and purposes for which it was formed are the following:

1. Buy and sell of surplus spare parts
2. Extend good quality repair services
3. Provide minimal loan with justifiable interest
