This refers to your letter dated August 06, 2008 requesting for a Certificate of Tax Exemption under the provisions of Republic Act No. 6938, otherwise known as the "Cooperative Code of the Philippines."
Documents submitted disclosed that Maligaya Community Multi-Purpose Cooperative with principal address at Adelfa St., Barangay Maligaya, Mariveles, Bataan is a primary non-agricultural multi-purpose cooperative transacting with members only; that it is registered with the Cooperative Development Authority with Registration No. PGA-5871 dated July 9, 2007; that a Certificate of Good Standing has been issued in its favor by Mr. Manuel A. Mar, Regional Director, San Fernando, Pampanga that the objectives and purposes for which it was formed are the following:
1. To encourage thrift and savings mobilization among members for the capital formation;
2. To create funds in order to grant loans for productive and providential purposes to its members;
