This petition for review filed by Jessie Javier Carlos (Carlos) under Rule 43 of the Rules of Court assails the October 25, 2012 Decision 1 and the October 25, 2014 Joint Order 2 of the Office of the Ombudsman (Ombudsman) in OMB-C-A-11-0775-L (LSC).
The Facts
The case arose from the complaint 3 filed by the Department of Finance-Revenue Integrity Protection Service (DOF-RIPS) on December 2, 2011 before the Ombudsman against Carlos for violation of: (a) Article (Art.) 171, paragraph (4) 4 in relation to Art. 183 5 of the Revised Penal Code (RPC), (b) Section 7 6 of Republic Act (R.A.)
