Effective immediately, all Authorized Agent Banks are hereby advised not to accept SUMITOMO MITSUI BANKING CORPORATION-Manila Representative Office (SMBC-Manila Representative Office) checks as well as taxpayers' checks drawn from the said Bank, in payment of internal revenue taxes. This advisory is in view of the letter from Mr. Nestor A. Espenilla, Jr., Deputy Governor, Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) dated May 11, 2016 informing the Bureau of Internal Revenue of the cessation of the business operations of SUMITOMO MITSUI BANKING CORPORATION-Manila Representative Office (SMBC-Manila Representative Office) with office address at 21st Floor, Tower One & Exchange Plaza, Ayala Triagle, Ayala Avenue, 1226 Makati City under Monetary Board Resolution No. 767 dated April 28, 2016. cSEDTC
