Tabora Jr.Explanatory NoteSection 17 of Republic Act No. 7160, otherwise known as the Local Government Code of 1991, provides that aside from the regular powers and duties vested in local government units, they shall likewise discharge the functions and responsibilities of national agencies and offices devolved to them pertaining to basic services and facilities.
